Short but Sharp.

  1. Flat: 10 Miles from Portrush along the coast through Portstewart.
  2. Rolling: 25 miles to lunch in Claudy
  3. Lovely: Split: 20 miles through the Sperrins – great views and quiet roads.
  4. End: Stop in Gortin for a coffee then its a climb over Gortin Glen before a descent to the Silver Birch Hotel in Omagh

The Sperrins is not a hot spot of culinary delight. Thin Pickings…

Between Portrush and Claudy you’ll pass a couple of coffee stops in Coleraine or Limavady which will keep you going. In Claudy we have arranged the Fat Fox Cafe which will run a £10 pp fixed menu for us.

After that we suggest you coffee or tea in Gortin in the Auld Bank Coffee Shop before the climb on to the ridge.

Only 65 miles but a few hills. Snack when you can – take opportunity to grab food when you pass a shop.

At the Silver Birch we will be eating together @ 1930/45. There will be live music in the bar and apparently they sell Guinness.

Bikes either in your room OR in the room we will be eating in.
