Terms and Conditions of Entry

General
“participant” means each person taking part in an event
Before registering for this event the participant should be fit to participate, seeking medical advice if appropriate. Each participant should inform 2Boats Events Ltd of any relevant existing medical conditions and any arising after registration that might affect their participation.
Your safety is of paramount importance. Please ensure that you follow all safety instructions whilst participating in any 2Boats Events Ltd organised events, including riding in accordance with the Highway Code.
2Boats Events Ltd has taken all reasonable steps to eliminate the chance of injury but there is a certain minimal risk in every activity and the participant should withdraw from the event if they have any doubts. 2Boats Events Ltd, its employees, agents and volunteers accept no liability whatsoever to participants or spectators in respect of any loss, damage or personal injury which may be sustained in the course of this event and associated events other than personal injury (including death) caused by our negligence. Liability cannot be accepted for any damage, injury or loss arising from the negligence of participants (whether through failure to observe the rules of the event or otherwise).
The participant is fully responsible for their actions during the event. 2Boats Events Ltd does not accept responsibility for the actions of the participant nor the consequences of such actions.
For any event outside of the UK, the participant is required to have a suitable level of travel insurance to cover the activity and liability involved.
Cycles & Equipment
All participants must ensure that their cycles are in a roadworthy condition. 2boats Events Ltd decision shall be final as to whether a cycle is of an appropriate type or condition to be used. Helmets are compulsory and must be worn by all participants whilst taking part in all events.
Age
Minimum ages are specified for our events. These assume an average level of competence and maturity. However all participants under 18 require parental consent and it is for parents to decide if the event is appropriate for their child, seeking additional information, if necessary.
2Boats Events Ltd reserve the right to prohibit individuals from taking part, and will do so if participants under 18 have failed to provide evidence of parental consent.
Fundraising
Registration for 2Boats Events Ltd events is non-refundable. In addition each participant commits to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship (excluding gift aid), as outlined in the event description and any supporting material and it is the participants responsibility to reach this amount. If you form part of a team, the Team Leaders are responsible for their team’s fundraising target.
Routes
All routes produced and distributed by 2Boats Events Ltd are to be used as a guide, 2Boats Events Ltd takes no responsibility for any changes to the terrain or conditions which may affect the route. Always use common sense when riding any of these routes. 2Boats Events Ltd endeavour to mark the route with identifiable signage where possible. If the participant chooses to ride a different route, it is entirely their own choice and entirely at their own risk.
2Boats Events Ltd reserves the right to shorten or alter any published route at any time, participants do not have the right to claim a refund if any route is shortened.
Photography
Photographs, videos or sound recordings may be taken of you during the event which may be used to publicise future events including on our web site.
Cancellation
2Boats Events Ltd reserves the right to cancel or shorten any event. 2Boats Events Ltd will endeavour to give as much notice as possible but accepts no liability for any costs incurred as a result of cancellation or event alterations.
